Meet the Management

Non-Executive Chair - Herman Spruit

Herman Spruit joined Frontiers Capital in 2007 and is a Managing Partner. Herman has over 18 years experience of providing later-stage and growth capital to businesses across Europe, Asia and emerging markets in Retail, Financial and Consumer Goods services.

Previously he was Managing Partner and the Chairman of Europe for strategy consultants Marakon Associates. Marakon was one of the pioneers of managing for shareholder value. Over this time, he was central to building Marakon's UK and European business while advising CEOs on their strategies and the capabilities required to deliver consistent long-term value growth.

Herman is a native Dutch speaker with an MBA from IMD and BSc in Economics from Bristol University. He lives in West London with his wife Anna, an architect, and three children..

CEO—Nick Brown

Nick has a wealth of commercial experience gained in high growth and turn around business such as VELUX Roof Windows, SIG plc and for the last three years Ultraframe plc where he was responsible for the commercial businesses of Ultraframe Ltd and GB Wendland.

During these three years Nick was part of a highly successful team that developed a major recovery plan then implemented radical changes in strategy and significant efficiencies. All this whilst enhancing customer loyalty and relations.

Eazyfone won the prestigious Digital Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2009 along with winning the accolade of being in the top 5 companies mentioned in the Sunday Times Fastrack 100 in 2009.

Finance Director and Company Secretary—Nigel Goldsmith

Nigel is a chartered accountant who has worked in both public practice and industry. After spending over nine years at KPMG, latterly as senior manager, he moved into industry in 1996. He has since held a variety of senior financial positions, primarily in the healthcare sector, at such companies as Life Sciences International plc, Almedica International Inc and IS Pharma plc. Experience gained includes managing overseas operations in Europe and the US, corporate acquisitions & disposals and equity & debt fund raising, all within high growth operations.

Nigel's move to Eazyfone during 2009 fitted well with his previous experience and he is excited to be part of a rapidly growing organisation that is hungry for more success.
